Digital camera order as present for daughter, checked how to get delivery to her address. Followed rules provided but delivered to me. Had to re-post as offered no other solution. Promised refund of postage on copy of postage receipt. This provided over six months ago but despite promises in many phone conversations and e-mails has never arrived. Will not use again or recommend its use, as customer service is not reliable.

I still haven't received an order placed over a week ago (estimated delivery time 2 - 5 days, and the depot is less than a mile from my house.)
When I tried to chase the order it took 24 hours for a generic response. The website simply states "processing" which does not tell you anything when clearly there has been a hold up.

Despite the camera being listed as in stock, it was 'processing' for 5 days before it was packed then shipped. On the plus point, it only took two days via NEXT DAY SPECIAL DELIVERY!

After placing the order online and waiting a few days the camcorder arrived by courier as expected, when I opened the packaging I was disappointed to find most of the seals on wrappers and the CD showing sign of being previously opened and resealed but as the content seemed complete and unmarked I was not too worried. After using the camera for about 10 minutes I noticed a spot on the LCD which also seemed visible through the viewfinder when focusing on dark objects, after some research I became convinced there was a broken pixel on the cameras CCD sensor so tried to contract PurelyGadgets. I made a number of attempts to phone there support line but all of them ended with a recorded message saying there was a temporary fault, I then emailed them describing how it has been received and suggesting that perhaps I has accidentally been sent a camera another customer had returned due to the same fault but the technicians had missed it on inspection and so deemed it fit for resale. I was sent a reply stating that I had to use the online returns form and send it back to them. Worried that this camera may have previously been inspected by there technicians and not found to be faulty I wanted to be sure I could demonstrate the problem so decided to return it in person, as I live in Cambridge the journey to London?s docklands was not close but I felt it was the only way to make sure the matter was dealt with quickly and fairly. When I arrived I was told a technician could not see me and I would have to wait for them to inspect it over the next 2-3 days. Since then I have been unable to get any response from the telephone or email, the closest point being a 30 minute wait on hold at which point my call was dropped by the switchboard.

Unable to contact by telephone due to their problems, explained on the web site. Weekend e-mail not answered until Monday. Minor critisicms really.
