Pros: Image stabilization, simple photo options, good picture quality
Cons: Short battery life, on the bulky side
Bottom Line: Both my digital cameras have been Canons, and both have delivered excellent picture quality and a great variety of functions, while remaining simple to use. Great basic camera.

Pros: Excellent image quality, OIS, full manual and auto modes
Cons: Low-res LCD screen, SD slot placement, slow flash recharge
Bottom Line: This camera is easy to use for beginners, but offers enough features to grow into. For the price, it can't be beat in its class.
