Pros: lots of manual controls, hot shoe for flash, can accept add on lenses
Cons: not the smallest pocket sized camera out there.
Bottom Line: I would not hesitate to recommend this camera...in fact I have.

Pros: Semi-professional quality camera at lower ISO
Cons: too much noise at high ISO
Bottom Line: Pricier than some compacts, you get some really good images at the lower ISOs. Invest in the additional lenses to increase capabilities.
