Epinions The A80, Reloaded!

by  lawman67,  Sep 19, 2004
Pros: Terrific ergonimics, outstanding picture quality, versatile controls
Cons: AA batteries (personal pref), no RAW mode
The Bottom Line: An excellent consumer digicam that addresses all of the shortcomings of its excellent predecessor. At its $400 price, there really is nothing else in its class
Review: Last year I reviewed Canon's PowerShot A80 digital camera and came away largely impressed, except for two aspects of its design that I considered deal-breakers. The A80 took 4 megapixel digital images of exceptional quality under a wide variety of ...

Epinions Canon's A95 - my fourth and favorite Canon

by  yodosays,  Jan 22, 2005
Pros: Great pictures, high battery life, swivel screen, great movies, high resolution. GREAT PRICE.
Cons: (These are negligible:) Large file sizes, you’ll need more flash cards. None serious.
The Bottom Line: If you're looking to do more than snapshots but less than professional photographs, it's the A95 without a doubt; most of us fit in this category.
Review: First, this review won't be going into all the technical comparisons to other cameras - there are other reviews that do that better than I could, so I'll be sticking to why I've found this to be the best camera for me (and hopefully others) after using ...

Epinions The Powershot A95 Experience

by  lsdnsideburns,  Jan 4, 2005
Pros: Excelling I.Q., loads of manual controls, camera that grows with you, easy to use interface
Cons: Some redeye, 3x zoom, autofocus a tad slow, USB 1.1, start up 2.5 seconds
The Bottom Line: Great overall camera. Good at everything it does. Great where it matters: taking pictures. Get a warranty for this baby, because you'll be damn dissapointed if you break it.
Review: After much research and deliberation, I decided to purchase the Powershot A95, over the Sony DSC-W1. Every camera has its pros and cons, and each are designed for with a different person in mind, but I felt this was the camera for me, although I'm sure ...

Epinions Great Digicam for Those Who Want to Learn

by  spoonbill1970,  Sep 10, 2005
Pros: First class pictures. Comprehensive features that allow user creativity. Articulated LCD. Price.
Cons: AiAF a bit slow. Software average.
The Bottom Line: Buy this camera if you want to learn how use Av, Tv etc. You will not be disappointed with the quality of pictures.
Review: After reading a number of reviews of digicams around the £200 mark, I decided on the A95 due to it's impressive range of manual options and the reputation Canon have for quality. (This despite the "E18" scare)I wanted a camera I would be able to learn ...

Epinions great camera!

by  aquakitty,  Feb 1, 2008
Pros: swivel lens, quick shot , 2.5" screen
Cons: none.
The Bottom Line: Good for people who want quality and options while taking a picture. I don’t think I’ll ever buy a NON-swivel lens camera again!
Review: The swivel lens is an awesome feature. I can take pictures at angles that I usually would not think of or even be able to do, without it. If you are trying to get a shot of your cat or child crawling around, or if you are like taking head shots of ...

Epinions Though not for everybody, the perfect camera for some.

by  writersbloq,  Jan 2, 2008
Pros: Great pictures, long battery life, incredible macro and zoom, swivel design, easy to use.
Cons: No manual adjustments whatsoever.
The Bottom Line: This is a specialty camera for special needs. Not everyone will appreciate it's qualities. Those who do will find this camera has no equal.
Review: Is this a good camera for the photography nut? Those who want a lot of control over their photos? How about those who take lots of indoor pictures of people? NO! This camera fails the above tests in my opinion. However, there is a particular ...

Epinions Looove this Camera!

by  trazomfreak,  Jun 27, 2005
Pros: Easy enough for beginners AND the features for the more advanced photographers.
Cons: Low quality in the digital zoom, low capacity memory card, purple fringing.
The Bottom Line: For the price and the features it has, you will have this camera for a long time. When beginners advance, it will still meet their needs.
Review: This is a neat little camera! As soon as I got this camera in the mail, I started shooting right away. It is easy to use and if you are more advanced in the photography field, this camera can meet your needs. I just came back from the museum and ...

Epinions Canon did not disappoint! It's feature rich and the price is right.

by  colorspace01,  Jan 2, 2005
Pros: Sturdy, sleek design. Very ergonomic with intuitive controls and menus. Great pictures and great video!
Cons: Does not come with battery charger or case. 32MB Compact flash is a little small.
The Bottom Line: Perhaps you are an enthusiast, but your spouse just wants to point and shoot. This camera will keep you both happy! I definitely recommend the Canon A95!
Review: Don't read this review if you are looking for hard technical data. Stuff like chromatic aberration (purple fringing) and noise levels at ISO 400 are best left to the experts. My opinion is intended to complement the more technical reviews with feedback ...

Epinions Good camera for a good price.

by  mariusc80,  Mar 28, 2005
Pros: Nice camera to have.
Cons: 30 seconds of film - regardless of memory size
The Bottom Line: Many of my friends have A95,85,75 and are really satisfied.Popular camera ... go with the flow
Review: I got mine from Amazon. I also bought a 1G SanDisk and a rechargeable batteries charger with car kit. Don't know much about photography I just like to be able to take a photo when I see something I want to see again and/or to show to my friends. ...

Epinions Top Quality Results from A95

by  cstrue,  Jan 3, 2005
Pros: photo quality!! ease of use scene modes fit & feel in hand
Cons: a bit on the heavy side zoom/telephoto is not very refined
The Bottom Line: There may be others with a smaller & lighter body, but the A95 will not be surpassed by others in its class in terms of photo quality!
Review: As an amateur photographer with a desire for high-quality photos, I struggled to choose between the Canon A95 and the Sony DSC-W1. I did all the research and tested them at local electronics stores. Without having the luxury of buying both and trying ...
