Pros: Small compact size, reliable.
Cons: Had to buy a replacement battery and the camera died after almost 4 years.
The Bottom Line: If Canon came out with an updated version of the SD10, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

I bought the Canon SD10 in late 2003 (my first digital camera!) because it was one of the smallest digital cameras on the market with 4MP. I loved its ultra-compact size in that I could bring it anywhere and everywhere in my pocket. The camera itself has an attractive body and is very easy to use. It lasted me for almost 4 years until finally the pictures started to look a bit wonky sometime in 2007.
The camera doesnt have an optical zoom or optical viewfinder as many of Canons subsequent cameras in the SD line. Still, I find the SD10 body the most attractive and compact of any of their newer cameras, including the SD30 which came in fun colors such as black, red, gold and violet. The body feels substantial and unlike a toy camera even though it is so smallsome of the newer Canons with plastic bodies feel cheap to me. Another perk of this camera is that it came with a Canon camera case; Canon camera cases are now sold separately from the cameras for approximately $29.99!
Im currently in the market for a new digital camera, and am disappointed that the smallest of the Powershot line is the SD1000. If Canon came out with an upgraded version of the SD10 or if I could buy a brand new one again, I wouldn't hesitate to do so.
