Pros: Fast startup, autofocus, writing, downloading; small for dSLR, decent low lighting performance
Cons: some of the controls, features and menu layout are not intuitive
Bottom Line: If photography is becoming a hobby for you -- this is a great choice. Some Pros and beginners will find it lacking for various reasons.

Pros: Incredible resolution, decent speed, reasonable price. Many improvements over original Digital Rebel.
Cons: Continuous drive/timer button is easily bumped. Battery door feels a little lightweight.
Bottom Line: Any camera that's better than the Rebel XT in meaningful ways probably costs twice as much, so the Rebel XT is the entry-level digital SLR to beat.
