Pros: Durable, Versatile, Fast Auto Focus, Superior Stabilization, Generally Lightweight
Cons: Like all zoom lenses, this is not ideal for those real "close" shots - Use Your Point-n-Shoot at Gramma's 80th Birthday Bash

Pros: Excellent macro performance, very sharp, lightweight, inexpensive.
Cons: Not weatherproofed. Maximal aperture is not extremely fast.
Bottom Line: Superb sharpness and macro performance for the price. Unless you require a weatherproof lens, this one is a no-brainer.

Pros: IS works great - Improves ability to take hand-held shots several stops; Good sharpness!
Cons: Heavy; Slightly dark colors at full zoom
Bottom Line: This will improve your picture taking by helping to eliminate blurring caused by shaking. Buy this lens over any other zoom for your Canon.
